DRIVING TO THE NEW STANDARDS JAZZ CRAWL MIDTOWN DETROIT

DRIVING SOUTHBOUND/NORTHBOUND I-75 (CHRYSLER FREEWAY)

  1. Take the Mack Avenue Exit 52.
  2. Turn onto Mack Avenue and drive west four blocks to Woodward Avenue.
  3. Head north onto Woodward Avenue.

Or

  1. Take the Warren Avenue Exit 53A.
  2. Turn onto Warren Avenue and drive five blocks to Woodward Avenue.

DRIVING SOUTHBOUND/NORTHBOUND M-10 (THE LODGE)

  1. Take the Forest/Warren Avenue Exit 3.
  2. Turn onto Forest (which is one-way heading east).
  3. Drive east four blocks to Woodward Avenue.


FROM DETROIT METRO AIRPORT
Driving to Midtown is about a 25-minute drive east from Detroit Metro Airport.
I-94: Drive eastbound on I-94, take exit 215C (Woodward Ave/Brush St.). Turn right onto John R. St. Follow John R. St. into Detroit’s Cultural Center.

PARKING FOR THE NEW STANDARDS JAZZ CRAWL:
Expect to pay anywhere between $7-12 for parking in Midtown Detroit. There is also metered parking on the street throughout the district. Learn more about City of Detroit metered parking rates here.

Detroit Institute of Arts Parking Lot | Cash + Credit Card | $7
Located on John R. St., south of Kirby St. and north of Warren Ave., across from the DIA.

The Detroit Historical Museum Parking Lot | Credit Card | $10
Located on Kirby St. between Woodward and Cass Avenues. Open 24 hours a day.

Detroit Symphony Orchestra Parking Deck | Credit Card | $10
Located at 81 Parsons St. between Cass and Woodward Avenues.

Wayne State University Parking Structure 6 | Cash + Credit Card | $12 Max
Located at 61 Putnam between Cass and Woodward Avenues.

Wayne State University Parking Structure 3 | Credit Card | $8.50
Located at 65 E. Warren Ave between John R and Woodward.

MOCAD Parking Lot | Free
Located at 4454 Woodward Avenue | Access the lot from Garfield Street.

DDOT OR SMART BUS

DDOT Bus — Most city buses intersect with Woodward Avenue. The Woodward bus route is #4 and runs 24/7 and is accessible from Plum Market downtown and all along Woodward. It stops north of Warren on either side near the DIA. Click here for a system map.

SMART Bus — Most SMART buses operate in the suburbs but some run during rush hour and the FAST routes run all day. They run on Gratiot, Woodward & Michigan Ave so you can transfer to them to reach the Cultural Center. Click here for a system map.
