Registration is now open for our 2 week FREE Summer Arts Academy housed at the Detroit School of Arts. Classes will be held Monday-Friday, beginning July 12th and ending July 23rd.
The Carr Center will once again be offering Dance and Introduction to Instrumental Music classes. Music students will need access to their own instruments. Rental arrangements can be made. For more information about our classes contact our Education Coordinator, Gina Ellis: gina@thecarrcenter.org
Edward Gooch is an experienced teacher with a Master’s Degree in Arts Education and a Bachelor of Science in Education. He is currently part of the music faculty at Wayne State University. Mr. Gooch is a working Musician, Composer, Arranger, Producer.
Erynn Paris trained at Renaissance High School before continuing her dance studies at Michigan State University. She has a combined experience of 20 years of studio and performance training. From 2014- 2018, she danced professionally as an NBA Detroit Pistons Dancer and is currently the owner of Infinity Dance Studios in Southfield, Michigan.
Summer Arts Academy is offered in partnership with Mosaic Youth Theater and the College for Creative Studies and is supported by the Skillman Foundation.
