Andrew I. Wilson is a craft-based artist working in jewelry, sculpture, textiles, book arts, fiber arts, fashion, photography, poetry, performance and installation.  

He holds a BFA from Ohio Wesleyan University in Jewelry / Metals Concentration and an MFA from the University of California, Berkeley in Art Practice

Mr. Wilson has received multiple awards for his work,  from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts in NYC, The San Francisco Foundation and the Museum of the African Diaspora in San Francisco and many others. 

In 2015, Andrew he was an Emerging Visions Artist in Residence at Michigan State University and he has presented solo exhibitions of his work the OMI Gallery, Oakland, CA, theGuerrero Gallery, San Francisco, CA and the Museum of the African Diaspora, San Francisco, CA.

In 2018 he was accepted as a Carr Center Independent Scholars Fellow under the mentorship of Carr Center Resident Artist, Carrie Mae Weems.
