Stevie Wonder is an undeniable musical genius, a force of nature. His consummate body of work is genre bending and without boundaries!

“To Stevie , With Love,” is a jazz inspired tribute to this master musician and songwriter with vocal and instrumental renditions of his iconic songs., under the visionary direction of multiple Grammy Award winning artist and Carr Center Artistic Director, Terri Lyne Carrington. Terri Lyne Carrington describes her vision for the concert this way, “Stevie’s work is prolific beyond compare, universal and timeless. This concert will take the audience on a journey to capture a sound that imagines Stevie … if he had been immersed in the New York jazz scene.”

Joining Terri Lyne on stage that night will be an ensemble of superb young artists, Kevin Harris on piano , Gregoire Maret on harmonica , and Michael Mayo on vocals, with Detroit’s own inimitable Ian Finkelstein on keyboard and jazz master Robert Hurst on bass.
