The Carr Center – Debbie Allen Summer Dance Intensive is Back and in Person at Detroit School of Arts! Register NOW!
This two-week mini dance intensive is designed for students 13 and over who are currently at the intermediate to advanced level. This class is NOT designed for beginners. Dancers should be proficient in the ability to quickly learn movement sequences, combinations and technique. Mr. Nobles will also choreograph an original work that the students will perform during Open House on the final day of the program.
Master Teacher Kris Nobles of the Debbie Allen Dance Academy will lead technique classes in Ballet and Contemporary. Kris is an accomplished dancer and instructor. He has won the Tanzolymp Danz Festival in Berlin, Germany competing in classical ballet. He has also been invited to perform solo in the “Duke ofEdinburghʼs Young Americans
Challenge.” Kris has been featured in Paramount Picture’s “Dance Flick” as a
principal dancer/actor choreographed by Dave Scott. He was a company member in
Complexions Contemporary Ballet and has performed the title role in Debbie
Allenʼs “The Hot Chocolate Nutcracker”.
Classes will be held Monday – Friday, 4pm – 6pm for two-weeks. There is a $250 Registration fee to participate in this intensive.
