Join us this Friday September 25th, for the Live Launch of The Virtual Carr Center. Register now to attend the LIVE Launch and receive your direct access link to the launch celebration streaming LIVE starting at NOON.

The Virtual Carr Center is our new cutting-edge interactive gallery. It is a platform that takes the work of the Carr Center beyond the walls of our physical location. The new site is an online real time interactive stage for visual and performing arts that promises play, exploration, shared experiences, and chance encounters. Quite frankly, it will be unlike anything you have ever experienced before.

Also happening at 1:00 PM on Friday is the opening of So Carr So Good, a partner exhibition of The Carr Virtual Center. Conceived by Erin Falker-Obichigha,  our Carr Center Gallery curator,  the exhibition documents and explores the creative vision, design, and functionality of our new interactive site. The exhibition combines echoes of the virtual space within the physical environment of the gallery, creating an exhibition that exists in two-and-a-half dimensions.

This entire project was created and developed with the help of our partners at the A. Alfred Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Michigan, and a dedicated team of young talented designers from the Taubman Public Design Corps (TPDC).

We invite you to be part of the launch festivities of The Visual Carr Center this Friday, September 25th at NOON.

Please be sure to read all of our safety protocols for our gallery. That link is readily available on the top of our homepage. Masks are required at all times when visiting the gallery.
