The resurgence of political and social unrest across our nation has touched us all. As we attempt to better understand it’s impact on arts and the artist community the Carr Center will host, “Revival Service”, a virtual gathering of artists, contemporary thinkers, and activists on Friday, July 31, 6:30 pm

In the Protestant tradition revival meetings are held to inspire and rejuvenate the church body, to stir up passions, and bolster faith. With that same intent, the Carr Center Presents, “Revival Service” an unscripted conversation developed to rejuvenate the creative spirit.

Our distinguished panelists, writer, Dr. Melba Joyce-Boyd, visual artist, Alonzo Davis and dancer/choreographer Robin Wilson,  will engage in an experience based discussion about our contemporary moment, its relationship to a shared past, and the role that artists and their art have and must continue to play in the fight against injustice.
